Measuring & fitting made simple
We offer free measuring and fitting with Venetian blinds supplied by Stratford Blinds. A measuring visit gives us the opportunity to check recesses, handles and any obstructions before your blinds are ordered.
Tell us whether privacy, glare or the appearance of the room matters most to you. We will discuss suitable options and confirm your specification and fitting arrangements in your quotation.
What is a Venetian blind?
Venetian blinds have horizontal slats that tilt to adjust the balance of daylight and privacy. The blind can also be raised to uncover more of the window. Controls vary by product.
Open slats allow more light and a clearer view; tilting them reduces visibility through the window. Closed slats reduce light but do not provide complete blackout, because light can pass around the edges and between parts of the blind. For bedrooms, compare our blackout roller blinds and discuss the level of darkness you need.

Are faux wood blinds suitable for bathrooms?
They can be a useful choice for kitchens and bathrooms, but suitability depends on the range and the amount of moisture. We check the product specification for your room; moisture resistance should not be taken to mean every part can be soaked.
Are faux wood Venetian blinds blackout?
No. Closing the slats reduces light and the view into the room, but light can pass between parts of the blind and around its edges. For a darker bedroom, ask us about blackout roller blinds and fitting options.
Are faux wood blinds heavy to raise?
The weight depends on the width, drop and slat size. A large faux wood blind can take more effort to raise, so tell us how often you want to lift it. We can discuss dividing a wide window into suitable sections or considering a different blind.
