1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all contracts between Stratford Blinds (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”).

By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

All products are made-to-measure unless stated otherwise.

2. Quotations & Pricing

* Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise

* Prices include VAT (if applicable)

* Additional work outside the agreed scope may incur extra charges

3. Orders & Payment

* Orders are confirmed once accepted and a deposit is paid

* Remaining balance is due:

    * On completion, or

    * As agreed in writing

* We reserve the right to cancel orders if payment terms are not met

4. Consumer Cancellation Rights (Cooling-Off Period)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 UK, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of entering the contract.

However:

Because most of our products are made-to-measure, the right to cancel does not apply once:

* Manufacturing has started, or

* You have explicitly agreed for work to begin within the 14-day period

If you wish to cancel:

You must notify us in writing within 14 days.

If production has not started:

* You will receive a full refund

If production has started:

* Cancellation may not be possible, or

* Costs incurred may be deducted

5. Product Description

We ensure all goods:

* Match the agreed description

* Are of satisfactory quality

* Are fit for purpose

Please note:

* Colours and finishes may vary slightly from samples

* Natural materials (e.g. wood) may have variations

6. Surveys, Measurements & Installation

* Customer-supplied measurements are the customer’s responsibility

* Where we measure, accuracy is our responsibility

* You must:

    * Provide safe access

    * Remove obstacles before installation

7. Delivery & Installation

* Dates are estimates only

* Delays outside our control may occur

* You must inspect goods at installation and report issues within 48 hours

8. Warranty & Guarantee

Blinds

* Covered by a 12-month guarantee

Installation

* Covered for 12–24 months depending on service

Not Covered:

* Wear and tear

* Sun damage or fading

* Misuse or accidental damage

* Third-party alterations

9. Returns & Refunds

* Made-to-measure items are non-returnable unless faulty

* Faults must be reported promptly

  • We will repair, replace, or refund where appropriate

Fault Reporting

Customers should inspect all goods upon delivery and installation.

Any faults or issues should be reported within 28 days of purchase or installation so that we can resolve them quickly and efficiently.

Reporting a fault within this timeframe helps us:

* Arrange prompt repairs or replacements

* Minimise disruption

* Ensure the issue is properly assessed

This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Liability

We are not liable for:

* Indirect losses

* Loss of income or business

Nothing excludes liability for:

* Death or injury caused by negligence

* Fraud

11. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

* Supplier issues

* Weather

* Events beyond our control

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
